Dear Parents,
With cold and wet weather persisting we have been spending much time inside again and staying off the grass. Please continue to send students with jumpers, hats and coats as we can experience four seasons in one day at times!
Jindabyne Excursion
Last week’s excursion to Jindabyne was a huge success and worth the wait. Our students enjoyed so many varied activities and were fabulous to take away overnight. Please take a look at the photos in this newsletter for snapshot what they got up to!
Pioneer’s Night
Unfortunately we will not be presenting an item on Saturday evening due to lack of numbers. Hopefully, next year we will be able to represent our school at this event.
Trivia Night
A successful night was held last Saturday night at the Batlow RSL Club. This major school fundraiser raised $5,313.25 Congratulations to Community Council on gathering our community together after a three year break. The questions certainly tested us! Particular thanks must go to Don Fisher, our Master of Ceremonies, and Tracee Holland and Kerrie Ambrose for their behind the scenes time and energy. It is most appreciated. All funds go towards student resources and improvements around the school.
New Finance System
Our school finance system has moved to TECH 1. As advised via Compass, no deposits are to be transferred into this account anymore. Families will be sent out BPAY information soon to use for fee payment and any other payments to the school account. The Community Council account remains the same for any uniform purchases. Do not hesitate to contact myself or Tracee Holland, Front Office Manager, if you have any queries.
Have a lovely week everyone.

K/1/2 Mass
Today, Mass was beautifully presented by K/1/2. It was lovely to gather together in our Church and see family members there. I am very proud of how confidently K/1/2 prepared and presented their first Mass.
Here are some of the prayers that K/1/2 students wrote:
- We pray for all our friends in our community. We hope they believe in God, see the good in people and live their life like Jesus. We pray to the Lord…
- We pray for all our sick. May they find strength to get better and have the care they need. We remember those who have died and hope they are enjoying God’s kingdom. We pray to the Lord…
- We pray for our families. We hope that our family stays safe with God’s love because we love them so so so much. We pray to the Lord…
- We pray for our teachers. May they always be happy and healthy. We thank our teachers for helping us to branch out, blossom and grow at St Mary’s. We pray to the Lord…
- We pray for the children of St Mary’s. We hope that they always care for our school, care for each other and always keep learning. We pray to the Lord…
All Souls Day
A day of remembrance and prayer for the faithfully departed before us.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O lord,
And let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace.
Amen
