Dear Parents,
It was a pleasure to take our Yr 5/6 students to Gundagai last Tuesday to play rugby league/league tag in the Mortimer Shield competition. Our students combined with St Joseph's Adelong. Our students played well, had fun and enjoyed their day. Sporting opportunities continue this term with tennis being run on Fridays with Bernadette Cahill. However, this Friday we will enjoy our Athletics Carnival at the Batlow Showground starting at 11am. Please feel free to come along and join us if you can. All details are in the Compass Parent Portal.
The Twits
Also in the Compass Portal are the details for our K-6 excursion to see the stage play The Twits at the Civic Theatre, Thursday 18 May. Please provide permission and pay cash to the front office as soon as possible. If you are experiencing difficulty with the portal please let us know.
Teaching and Learning
This week staff have received important visitors into our classrooms. On Monday, Sommer Johnson was here to continue our transition into using High Impact Teaching Strategies. On Tuesday, Therese Levins visiting to view our roll out of the MultiLit resources in K-2. Staff appreciated the ongoing support of our teaching and learning priorities.
Have a lovely week everyone,
Jannine
The month of May is a special time for Catholics to honour the Blessed Mother Mary - our St Mary’s school patron saint.
In May we celebrate Mary, our Mother, and just as importantly we also celebrate the wonderful mothers in our lives on Mother’s Day.
I hope all of our St Mary’s mothers, grandmothers, aunties and honorary mothers have a very special day this Sunday.
May your day be filled with peace, love and joy whilst you are surrounded by loved ones.
