Dear Parents,
It has been a wonderful term and celebrated today with a special Mass. Congratulations to Jessica and Theo on your First Holy Communion. Our school was very honoured to be with you and your parents on this special day. Thank you to Ms Buckmaster for her preparation of the candidates over the past month.
Conferences
Parent Teacher conferences were offered over the past three afternoons. Thank you to all parents who took the opportunity to discuss their child's progress during this time. If you didn't get a chance to come in for a conference, please contact your child's teacher to arrange a mutually convenient time for a chat early next term.
100th Year Celebration Launch
On the first day of Term 3, Tuesday 18 July, we will be launching our celebrations with a special assembly at 10:30am. We will celebrate with some special cupcakes for morning tea. Then we are on the countdown to Monday 23 October when our Director and the Vicar General Fr Richard Thomson are here to celebrate Mass with us. Over Term 3, we will be having several events scheduled along the way to commemorate 100 years of Catholic Education in Batlow:
- Wednesday 9 August - Learning Journeys.
- Friday 1 September - A special disco/ fun night for the students
- Wednesday 20 September - A family games afternoon!
We are looking forward to promoting this event with family and any past students of St Mary’s Batlow. Please let them know! Invitations will be forwarded to many past students and staff for a special luncheon at the Batlow RSL on Sunday 22 October.
Holidays ahead!
I hope students are feeling proud of their achievements over the past semester. They deserve a break from our regular routines. After a wet week, we hope the holidays offer a chance for lots of outside time!
We will look forward to seeing the children back with us on Tuesday 18 July.
Take care and have a lovely holiday everyone!
