- THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
Dear Parents,
It’s hot and last Friday was a stinker! Our special day at the National Zoo and Aquarium was uncomfortable but at the same time, it was brilliant! We have shared a wonderful day out with your children and it was very special and full of many laughs, surprises and special moments viewing the animals. Please enjoy the many photos in our newsletter this week. I particularly like the whole group photo in front of the African Lion enclosure. Just before the photo was taken a male lion walked across the space directly in front of us before being joined by the female in the shady tree at the back. Simba and Nala were spectacular and ‘huge’.
Many dates are now confirmed for our final few weeks for 2020.
- Reports will be sent home- Friday 4 December-(Parent teacher interviews are available on request)
- Awards Evening –Wednesday 9 December @6pm
- Thanksgiving/Graduation Mass -Thursday 10 December @10am
- Students' last day is - Tuesday 15 December.
Our Swimming Program will begin next Monday at the Batlow Pool. We will conduct lessons to support water confidence, stroke development and water safety. Students will walk to the pool every day except for Wednesdays in Week 8 and 9. On the last Friday of the Swimming Programme we will have our End of Year pool day celebration. Please refer to the note below for finer details and to submit parent permission by this Friday.
Have a lovely week everyone.

Ms Crozier led Whole School Prayer this week. The focus was on gratitude. Students were paired with a partner to develop comments about why they were grateful for their friends and fellow students at St Mary’s. Whole School Prayer is held every Monday at 12:45pm.
Next Tuesday Caleb and Isabelle will be our radio announcers.
Tune in each Tuesday at 1.45pm to hear what is happening at St Mary's.
As the weather is warming up please remember to pack a water bottle. Bubblers are still out of use due to COVID restrictions. Staff will refill bottles as needed.
A big thank you to those families who have already purchased and returned raffle tickets and money.
If you need more tickets please see the front office.
The last Community Council Meeting for the year will be held on
Thursday 3rd December at 7pm.
Please email any items you would like put on the agenda to

Last wek we travelled to the National Zoo and Aquarium. We had a great day and although it was hot, we really enjoyed it.
Thank you to Catholic Care for supporting the cost of this excursion. It has made 2020 a bit more memorable for the good memories we shared together as a K-6.
More photos next week.
Last week our year six leaders and Ms Wild picked our first lot of fresh grown vegies.
We picked spinach, oregano and rosemary.
We look forward to our families enjoying some once we have more grown to pick.
